Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for visiting our website. Our theme for this year is "The Year of Order and Unity". Our Scripture verses come from 2 kings 20:1 and Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. The main theme comes from the idea of "get your house in order" as well as "a three-fold cord is not easily broken". In an ever-changing and continuous unstable world that we live in, we are all poised in a position of getting our houses in order if we expect to live blessed lives. Every individual must start with him/herself and examine what areas need to be adjusted and put into order. The Lord presented to me that we need to completely clean out all of the "clutter" in our hearts and only then can we begin to appropriately get things in order. Many wonder why they can't achieve the change that they so desire. It may be possible that they are trying to get things in "order" among the clutter. May we all take inventory of our lives, looking to Jesus as our interior decorator, and implement the changes that HE reveals to us. In doing this (which will be a process), we can move in the direction of walking in the blessing of God.
As we get our houses in order, Unity will play more of an important role in our Christian walk. First and foremost, we must have a unified relationship with Jesus Christ. We are to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. The second great command is that we love our neighbor as ourself. We must see the need for Godly relationships in our lives and learn how to depend on one another. God is a God of relationships; therefore, we must not isolate ourselves from one another but begin to draw strength from those people that God places in our lives. Our level of unity with our brothers and sisters will be dependent upon our unity with the Lord.
Please take a look around at the various ministries that are provided and I believe that you will find many opportunities for you and your family. Jill and I look forward to personally meeting you at one of our Sunday morning or Wednesday evening services.
May we all yield ourselves to our Heavenly Father and get our houses in order in 2012.
